I have been serving the Lord as a traveling singing evangelist----as long as I can remember! I grew up in a ministry family from 1995-2010 we sang and were on the road as a singing family and I would preach. Then I went into Bible College and Graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Theology.
I was 12 years old when I felt the Lord direct my heart into evangelism and called me to preach the Word and I guess I haven't stopped ever since! I love preaching and singing, presenting ministries, and serving in any area a pastor needs, but my heart is really in revival meetings.
I love it when I can preach with great people like Dear Brother Sammy Allen, or Dr. Jim Brown, Evangelist Larry Brown, and mingle with Dr. S.M. Davis, or scientists like Dr. John Whitcomb. It has been some amazing moments of my life I will always cherish.
Playing Concerts:
Being Born Blind...
I loved the pianist Anthony Burger for more than one reason! Our miracle stories were similar!
I had come across his cassette tapes at a very early age. And I would play "Meeting In The Air" and "I've Got That Old Time Religion" until I could figure it out for hours and hours.
I was born legally blind. Everything I saw was like the Bible verses where I saw men as trees walking, and didn't see anything past that.
I wore thick glasses and if I dropped them it was game over for me because I could not see where they would land. And at 6 years old after playing the piano in our family programs for 3 years with both hands, God healed my eyes sight at 9 years old Glory to God!
Since then, I was able to open for The Lester's, The Inspirations, and The Primitive Quartet. And praise the Lord for all the special experiences he has given us!
Tuning Pianos:
Since I was a kid:
My dad tuned pianos whenever our family had an opening to help with the bills, and he liked me to go along to play the pianos when he finished just for fun. I loved it, and he taught me everything he knew about pianos that led me to working in an actual piano repair shop and learning all the tricks to the trade. I have since been tuning and repairing and am going on over 20 years of doing so and seeing people smile when they get a broken string, piano key, or their pads replaced.
This helps us to keep going in the slow months when no preaching or piano engagements have been scheduled to keep food on the table and gas in the tank. God is awesome to have allowed us to serve him and gave us a "Tent-making" side job like Paul to be able to help fund the ministry to smaller churches, nursing homes, senior meetings, and far away locations that need the gospel preached but cannot afford our trip.
To God Be The Glory....
It is more about what God has done than about us. I have never felt comfortable talking about ourselves, and why people should have us come and minister. I'm not that kind of marketing guy. I'm not the smartest, brightest crayon in the box, in a four-piece suit, briefcase, and a fancy presentation, but I know Jesus and want to bring as many as I can closer to him, and I have the heart to serve the Lord and others.
I am a down-to-earth preacher who has a heart and love for people and meeting them right where they are to take them to the feet of Jesus. I have gone to Bible college, and have preached for over 25 years.
Great Things He Hath Done!
I was saved at the age of 9 years old, in my family's front room after watching the Christian Film "Final Exit" realizing that if I were to die, I would not go to Heaven. I had fought against the need for salvation and God for a while before this, and the reality that even good people go to Hell shocked me. I was a good person. This movie hit home that it was not about our goodness, or being raised in a preaching or singing family, but that I did not know Jesus Christ, or put my trust in His shed blood to wash away my sin. It was such a blessing to be saved at such a young age, as well as be brought up in a God-fearing Home in full-time ministry. I am thankful that I was able to accept Christ as my Savior at a young age!
